Handstand Pops to work โ€œpoppingโ€ off your shoulders 2. Handstand Snapdown to work end portion of back handspring 3. Back Limber to Snapdown And you only need a Panel Mat for all of these!! This post is about something I see too often cued, but I argue it is suboptimal for most students. It encourages students to compress their low back, drop their butts in order to get their feet to head. It makes more sense to lift butt over head to get a better hip and upper back extension. But this is a lot heavier on the shoulders. Please take note the first example CAN be done safely if you are elevated and pushing tall. It is a LOT of abs to support the low back while it is folded. The issue is people do it passively, without adequate engagement.
