TIThe moment you’ve all been waiting for is finally here! 😀 You’ve been asking for this bag tutorial for a long time, and I’m so excited to finally share it with you. In this part, I’ll show you how to construct the exterior of the bag. Here are the details to help you follow along: 👇
1. Quilting: Start by quilting the main piece and the base. I stitched straight lines approximately 3 cm apart for both parts.
2. Trimming & Pressing: Once the quilting is finished, trim the excess edges and give it a good press. (I missed filming the ironing part, but don’t skip it!)
3. The Ruffles: I used a tight zigzag stitch on the edges for a clean finish—just set your machine to the densest zigzag setting. Then, I used a ruffler foot. No ruffler foot? No problem! You can easily do this by pulling the bobbin thread manually.
4. Assembly: Adjust the ruffle length to match the main body and sew them together.
5. Closing the Body: Stitch the two ends of the main piece together to form a tube.
6. Attaching the Base: I made small notches with my scissors to mark the center points of both the oval base and the main body. Align the notches, pin them carefully, and sew them together.
7. The Reveal: Turn the piece right side out, and there you go—the exterior of your bag is ready! ☺️
