Shortcuts, hacks, and shiny objects are popular because they promise you the one thing that money cannot buy β time. They promise to get you results in less time than conventional methods. But they never work, they actually waste your time, and they distract you from what does: getting consistent with basic practices.
The basics, the simple things, the fundamentals will get you 99% of the way there.
You just have to do them.
And if you are only content with making results faster than should reasonably be expected, then you should really ask yourself whether or not your goals are good ones for you. Because not being willing to give something the time it takes is a good sign that they might not be.
