This is the Grendel—and before it lights up, every single wire has to find its way. The two ER-Medium lasers in the left arm get their own wiring. And that wiring doesn’t just go anywhere—it runs straight through the arm, through the torso, through the hip, all the way to the base of the thigh. Completely hidden. Not a single wire visible once the Mech is finished.
What you see here is several hours of fine motor work condensed into a few minutes. Tweezers. Copper wire. Tweezers. Swearing. Tweezers. Again.
This is LED modding on custom-built BattleMechs—and that’s exactly what makes BattleTech miniatures so fascinating to me. No off-the-shelf Mechs. Every build is different. Every wiring job is its own little puzzle challenge.
