tips for this pattern: i crocheted 25 fewer rows for the string than was recommended and still had some length leftover so if i were to do this again i would stretch out my cord before putting it all together in order to get a more accurate length. the string stretches out as you are putting the beads on it.

i used a safety pin on each end of the string to help me guide it through the beads. this is especially helpful when you’re going through more than 2 beads at time.

you definitely don’t have to make all the beads in one or two sittings. there are 50 total so if you made even 5 a days you could be done in a little under a week. the beads took me about 7 minutes each.

another thing i would do differently is use a contrasting yarn color for the string. i feel like that just makes it more dynamic, but i’m very happy with my little purple monochrome lizard 💜
