CHI'm still processing what happened this morning. I was just looking out at the snow when I saw her standing right at my glass door, a giant mama bear just feet away from me.
She wasn't aggressive at all. She just stood there on her back legs, looking at me with the most intelligent eyes. She had her tiny, brand new cub in her mouth, and they were both covered in icicles.
My heart was in my throat, but I felt like she was asking for help. I slowly opened the door, and she carefully came inside, trusting me with her precious baby.
We got the little one warmed up and cleaned off on a towel. The whole time, his mom just sat a few feet away, watching us so calmly. It was the most profound display of trust I've ever witnessed in my life.
It's a moment I will never, ever forget. Nature is so incredibly powerful and beautiful. ❤️
