FREating bugs with the MIDI Fighter 3D. Our game only uses two inputs right now (L and R) but a MIDI drum pad controller opens a lot of possibilities. Currently 🦋 = L+R, but could make it an option for midi players to map it to another zone instead. Or even adding more bugs for even more sounds! How many types of bugs would you like to eat?

FRRolling out some new trails Sonya designed for the roll articulation 〰️ Used to have a mesh generator that would generate a tube mesh for the roll on the fly. Now have a simple shader that can mask out parts of the roll via a discard. On the authoring step the roll sprite’s red channel indicates the angle that pixel is on so we can just read that channel and mask out appropriately.
MIDI keyboard input is starting to grow on me. Thought drum pad controller would def be better but keyboard feels good too and I think more common for our players to have

FRTesting out the new MIDI input system for Frog In The Pocket! I don’t think I’ve ever actually played triplets like this on the keyboard lol actually may practice a bit with this. MIDI opens a huge world of possibilities for input devices, gonna experiment next with some drum triggers
