THIS IS WHY CHUCK ROAST NEVER FAILS. About 4–5 lb chuck roast (raw). Salt and pepper — season generously. Dutch oven. Just what you need. Nothing more. Bake at 325° for about 1 hour per pound, covered, until fork-tender. If you want to crisp it up, take the cover off, raise the temperature to 425°, and let it go uncovered until the edges are just right. Feeds about 4–6 people, depending on how you serve it — tacos stretch further than a full plate with roasted potatoes. Low effort. High payoff. Do not be afraid of big cuts of🥩 this V-Day! CHUCK ROAST RECIPE Keeping it real with another chuck roast video because we’ve really been eating it this much. RECIPE Pat dry a room-temp chuck roast and generously season all sides with salt + pepper. I added taco seasoning this time too 🤫 Add to a baking pan or dish w/ whatever veggies you want seasoned and oiled. Bake covered at 325°F. A 2.5 lb roast takes about 3 hours. As a simple rule, bake 1–1.25 hours per additional pound, until fork-tender. Ex. • A 2.5 lb roast = ~2.5 to 3 hours • A 3 lb roast = ~3 to 3.5 hours • A 4 lb roast = ~4 to 5 hours Remove, shred, and toss the meat in its rendered fat + juices. Broil or bake at 425°F for 3–5 minutes until the edges caramelize. Don’t overdo this but the texture of these is one of my favorite parts idk if it’s common practice or not but I dig em. That’s it. Big cuts of meat don’t need to be scary. Great for high protein meals all week. Chuck Roast made simple.

So easy 🙌🏼 Recipe: Chuck roast Yellow Mustard Chimichurri (we use @kindersflavors ) Cajun or Creole Refrigerate 24+ hrs. Day of: bring to room temp & cook at 275° for 2½ hrs uncovered.
