PSLast Departure before Scrap!
The Atlantic Huron heading out of Superior WI for their last trip of their Career. Their 8th and last visit to Superior started December 20, 2025, at 17:16. Arriving light, heading to the BN-5 dock to load Iron Ore Pellets for Quebec. The Huron pulled into BN-5 at 18:06 and began loading the ore. 20.5 hours later December 21 at 14:38 they pulled out of BN-5 for the last time of their career. The Huron with tug assist from the Missouri,(with the grinch on it), departed Superior WI at 15:00 after being in Port for a total of 21.7 hours.
Heading to Quebec to transfer the ore to an overseas vessel.

She came through broken ice under a gray sky, cleared by USCGC Spar, and passed under the Aerial Lift Bridge at 2:15 pm with a powerful master salute to start the season.
At 1,013 feet, she remains the longest vessel on the Great Lakes⦠and thereby, is the Queen.
