What’s the best camera for a beginner outdoor photographer? 👀 That’s something I asked myself when I just started to learn photography years ago. Here’s a few things to think about if you are in that situation right now👇🏻 💡 Go easy at first My suggestion is to get a really cheap camera or even experiment with your phone at first. What you buy really doesn’t matter, I’ll explain what I mean. 💡 Experiment & Learn Once you have something you can practice with, practice a lot. Why? Because that’s when you’ll discover if you really like it or not. I don’t see the point in getting the best camera out there and after a few weeks you don’t use it at all. 💡 Upgrade slowly Test and learn at least 6 months or longer. After some time you will start to see what photography is and if it really is for you. That’s when I think you can start to look for a bit more expensive camera. During your experiment time you will discover a bit more of what type of photography you like and you’ll have more answers to the questions you had in the beginning. And you can make desicions based on that. 💡 Final reflections This is what I’ve done and I wouldn’t change anything If I started again. Learning photography takes time, I feel like I’ve just scratched the surface of photography and I would not consider myself an expert. I just try to write about things I’ve learned so far. It’s okay that it takes time, that’s the only way you get really good at something, by doing it over and over again. 👋🏻 Share this with your outdoor friend #photopassion #photojourney #outdoorphotography

Looking for a budget-friendly beginner camera? I’ve got you covered! 🎥 I get asked this question all the time, so here are my top 3 recommendations for beginner point-and-shoot cameras that won’t break the bank: 1️⃣ DJI Pocket 2: Think stabilized iPhone footage—but better. Super portable, budget-friendly, and great for beginners. (No, I didn’t include the Pocket 3 because I haven’t used it yet, but I’m sure it’s just as good!) 2️⃣ Sony ZV-1: This one is my fave for cinematic quality. Easy to use, amazing video performance, and perfect if you’re ready to step it up. 3️⃣ Canon G7X (Mark II or III): Incredible for photos and videos. The autofocus can be a little finicky at times, but the image quality makes up for it! 📸 Want pro-level camera recommendations? Before I picked up this camera just over a year ago, I was feeling a little uninspired and craving something new. Getting the Sony ZV-E1 opened up so many creative possibilities. It let me capture exactly what I was envisioning and reignited my excitement for creating and colour grading. I shoot all my videos in S-Log3.Cine and colour grade in DaVinci Resolve, using a colour space transform to Rec.709, my Film Tone LUTs as a base edit + other adjustments 📸 LUTs available in bio shop.adriana-maria.com/products/film-lightroom-presets-luts #sonyalpha #cinematicvideo #colorgrading

When I bought my first camera, I thought I’d instantly start taking stunning photos. ❗️Spoiler: I didn’t. 😅 Instead, I got blurry shots, weird lighting, and had no clue what all those buttons meant. So if you’re a beginner photographer or content creator just getting into the game, this is that starting point for you. Here are 4 simple things I wish I had done when I began 👇 ✅ Learn the exposure triangle — ISO controls the sensitivity of light, shutter speed controls the time of light, and aperture controls the amount of light. You don’t have to be a tech genius. Just get familiar. ✅ Shoot in natural light — Morning or golden hour light makes your photos look edited even when they’re not. ✅ Use just one lens — Stick to your kit lens and understand how it behaves in different scenes. Stop chasing gear. ✅ Shoot every damn day — Even your messy desk, your lunch, or your cat. Skill builds through repetition. 📸 The real glow-up comes from knowing how to see and control light, not from having the “best camera.” That’s exactly what I teach inside my beginner-friendly course with no jargon, no fluff, just simple steps that actually make sense. 🎯 Want to stop guessing and finally feel confident with your camera? Join my channel to get the course details + learn how you can start strong without the overwhelm.

PART 2 HAS BEEN POSTED 🤓☝️ I was drooling over digicams for like 6 months before I felt like I had done enough (extremely passive) research to get my first one. It honestly took me multiple purchases to figure out these tips so hopefully it can give you a 6 month head start to finding your first digicam 🥺🥺🥺 📸s mentioned: Canon PowerShot SD100, Canon PowerShot A530, Fujifilm FinePix A120, Olympus FE-360, Canon Rebel T6 (actually 18 mp), Kodak PIXPRO FZ55 —— I switched from editing on my phone to on my laptop, started adding my own overlays, put my mic on a pen, and chose a spot with good lighting. It’s crazy how much good tech and tools can boost creativity!! #digicam #digitalcamera #howtopickadigicam101 #canonpowershot #fujifilmfinepix #olympusfe #kodakfz55 #photographytips
