TODemo of the Berneron Annual Calendar, listen for that ‘tack’ sound. At the end of every month, it makes a ‘quintuple jump,’ when every function instantaneously jumps at the same time. The Berneron Quaniteme Annuel is the second collection from Sylvain Berneron’s brand, a total departure from the Mirage. Complicated, symmetrical display and movement, with time telling that is logical read top-down and left-right. A bit of Lange, a bit of Patek, but totally Berneron imo. The case is 38x10mm and has to be one of the best wearing calendar watches around, with a clever steel layer that covers the precious metal case’s high-contact points (I’ve seen some call it a steel condom which is kinda funny). He was showing working prototypes (like this one) in Geneva a couple of weeks ago, excited to see full-production watches later this year. The calendar function is also dummy proof and can be rolled forward and backwards.
