Miso Black Cod (Nobu Style)...this and crispy rice are my go to orders there… Ingredients: •1/4 cup mirin. •1/4 cup sake. •1/3 cup miso paste. •1/3 cup cane sugar. •2 lb black cod (deboned, cut into filets). Directions: 1.- Boil the mirin and sake for 3 min. 2.- Add in sugar and miso. Cook a couple min without boiling. MISO BUTTER COD Miso-marinated cod: 500 g black cod, cut into fillets 2 tbsp butter, softened 2 tbsp white miso paste 1 tbsp mirin 1 tbsp brown sugar salt to taste Roasted broccolini: 300 g broccolini 1 tbsp olive oil salt and pepper to taste 1 tbsp chili oil sesame seeds, for garnish Rice: 1 cup washed rice cooked in 1½ cups water ——————————————- preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking pan with aluminum foil. Pat the cod fillets dry with a paper towel and season with salt. mix butter, white miso paste, mirin, and brown sugar until smooth. spread the miso butter generously over the cod fillets. bake for 10 minutes then broil on high for 3–4 minutes, or until the top is caramelized. for the broccolini, toss it with olive oil, salt, and pepper. roast at 400°F for 8–9 minutes. drizzle with chili oil and garnish with sesame seeds. #misomarinatedblackcod #misobuttercod #nobustyle #miso #cod

When you crave umami, you have to make miso black cod. I used the freshest cod from @alaskansalmoncompany delivered straight to my door. The whole recipe only took 4 ingredients and 10 minutes of prep 🤯 then you get this sweet, savory, umami packed cod that tastes just like the $50 dish at Nobu. Miso Black Cod (Serves 2) Ingredients: 2 cod fillets 2 tablespoons sake 2 tablespoons mirin 2 tablespoons white miso paste 1 ½ tablespoons granulated sugar Instructions 1. Prepare the marinade: In a small saucepan, combine the sake and mirin. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for about 1–2 minutes to let the alcohol burn off. Add the white miso paste and sugar, stirring continuously until smooth and well combined. Remove from heat and let cool a bit (pouring hot liquid over the fish will cook the fish and we don’t want that). 2. Marinate the fish: Pat the cod fillets dry with a paper towel. Place them in a Tupperware or resealable bag, then pour the cooled marinade over the fish, making sure they’re evenly coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 48 hours. 3. Cook the cod: When ready to cook, preheat your oven’s broiler on high. Line a baking tray with foil a parchment paper. Place the fish skin-side down on the tray and position the rack on the second-highest level (not the very top) to prevent the skin from burning. Broil for 8–10 minutes, brushing the fillets with a bit more marinade around the 8-minute mark for extra flavor. Continue broiling until the surface is caramelized and the fish flakes easily. 4.
