As we’ve seen before, just because a game is on Steam, does not mean it’s safe. Hackers are, once again, sneaking infostealer malware (this time StealC) into Steam games that function as normal, aside from stealing your credentials, cryptocurrency and browser data. This one, BlockBlasters, was up and running for weeks before the malware was slipped in. As I’ve mentioned before, it’s safest to wait until a game has been out for a bit and has many good reviews before you download it. You can also use a VM for gaming to help keep your other data secure. And always keep any notable amounts of crypto in a cold wallet!
