🚀 How to study so fast it feels ILLEGAL: 🧠 Blurting – Close your notes, write down everything you remember. Then fill the gaps. It’s painful, but it works. 📅 Spaced Repetition – Don’t cram. Review over time to actually remember what you learn. 🧪 Feynman Technique – If you can’t explain it like you’re teaching a 10-year-old, you don’t know it yet. 📂 Second Brain – Offload your notes into Notion or OneNote. Organised info = faster revision = top marks. Study smarter, not harder. Let everyone else pull all-nighters. 😤

Leave blurting in 2023 ⤵️ Blurting is a very popular study technique that involves reviewing a piece of content (e.g. from your textbook) and then trying to write down as much information as you can remember. 📚 However, blurting is not a study strategy backed by scientific research. 🚨 WHY BLURTING DOESN’T WORK 🚨 - It targets your short term memory instead of long term memory. - It promotes shallow encoding rather than deep encoding. -It is not useful for more conceptual or complex topics. WHAT TO DO INSTEAD: 1️⃣ You need to focus on strategies that improve your long-term memory rather than short-term memory. So, don’t try to recall content immediately after you have reviewed it as that is just testing your short-term memory. 2️⃣ Start recalling information (called retrieval practice) BEFORE you review content (instead of after). Here are the steps. - learn the content. - wait a day - then, write down everything you remember on a page - then review content and the parts you noticed that you didn’t remember well. 3️⃣ Space out your study sessions. Instead of repeatedly ‘blurting’ or reviewing content, space your study sessions out over days and weeks. Long-term memory strength 📈📈 🌱 Was this information new to you? Step 1 ✅ Comment “GUIDE” for my free study guide with more tips and tricks Step 2 ✅ Follow @the_studycoach for more free study tips! 🙌🏼 Cornell method: Think of your notes as a strategic plan. Divide your page into three sections: one for main ideas, one for details, and one at the bottom to summarize. It’s like creating a map to navigate all the important information. Blurt and learn: Picture your brain as a quick learner! After you read or hear something, challenge yourself to recall and explain the main points without looking at your notes. It’s like playing catch with your thoughts, reinforcing what you’ve learned. These methods are great for a first review, like right after class or in the evening. For later reviews, try different active recalling methods like the Feynman technique, quizzes, or mind-maps 🫡 ⬆️ Follow @the_studycoach if you want to learn more about these methods 🙌🏽 #study #studygram #studymotivation #studymethods #college #university

The Blurting Method is an amazing study technique that trains your brain into retain more information, by forcing it to extract what it already knows by “blurting” it out onto the page 🧠 By doing this, we flip learning on it’s head, and are able to notice and fill gaps in our knowledge when we compare what we just wrote down to our notes. Is it correct? What’s missing? What can I add more detail to? By doing this regularly, especially when combined with Spaced Repetition, we will retain lots more information, and pass all of our exams! 📚 . . . #studystream #study #studystudystudy #student #students #studentlife #uni #university #unilife #universitylife #college #collegelife #studentproblems #studytips #studytip #studyhack #notetaking #studynotes #studytips101 #deskaesthetic #aestheticdesksetup #studygram #studygramcommunity #studyindia #studygramindonesia #school #collegetips #studyblr #studymotivation #studygrambr @studystream_

comment “boom” to join the academic weapon army! You’ll get: 🟣 coached by me on how to study effectively, overcome procrastination, focus for hours, and anything else you need help with :) 🟣 step by step lessons that’ll transform you into an A+ student 🟣 exclusive podcasts and coaching from top experts on finances, relationships, mindset, health, and more 🟣 to make connections with students globally 📝 The Blurting Method: 1️⃣ Choose the concept you want to study. This can be from anywhere such as your textbook or lectures. 2️⃣ If the concept has multiple parts, break it into mini parts so it’s easier to digest. 3️⃣ Read until you understand the general idea. 4️⃣ Say it out loud 1-3x times without looking at the book 5️⃣ Write down as much of the concept as you can remember without looking at your textbook. 6️⃣ When you’re done writing, look at the textbook and highlight all of the information that you forgot to write down. 7️⃣ Now fill in all the gaps you had so that everything is written down. 8️⃣ Repeat this process while focusing on the information you couldn’t remember. Before moving on, make sure you can write most of the information from start to finish. Then start studying a new concept. 🏷️#ny #nyc #la #califronia #studymotivation #studymethods #procrastination #cantstudy #collegestudent #studygram #studytips #studyhacks #academicweapon #studentlife #exams #collegestudent #focustips

The white board method explained: 1️⃣ Blurting Phase: Write everything you remember about a topic on a whiteboard—no notes, no looking, just pure brainpower! It’s messy but magic. 2️⃣ Check & Fill the Gaps: Compare what you wrote with your notes or textbook. Identify what you missed or misunderstood. 3️⃣ Feynman Technique: Teach the topic to yourself (or an imaginary friend 🧠) in simple terms. If you get stuck, revisit the gaps and repeat until you’ve nailed it! This method combines active recall, self-testing, and teaching—proven ways to boost retention and understanding. Whiteboards = study game changer. Give it a try and let me know how it works for you! 💡 #StudyTips #WhiteboardMethod #ActiveRecall #FeynmanTechnique #productivity #study #studygram #studysmarter
