Yet the deeper insight was more humbling. Even in a universe filled with hundreds of billions of galaxies, each containing billions of stars and countless planets, life has revealed itself only once here, on Earth.
Among this overwhelming abundance, our existence is not measured by size but by rarity. A thin layer of atmosphere, liquid water, stable temperatures, and delicate chemistry combined in a way that, as far as we know, has not repeated anywhere else we can see.
The universe may be vast beyond imagination, but awareness, the ability for the cosmos to observe itself appears astonishingly fragile and rare.
