Make Your Own Rainbow Bubbles! Ingredients: . 1 plastic bottle (cut in half) % • A piece of babv wipe • 1 hair band • Food coloring -Bowl of water . A few drops of dish soap o Process: 1. Cut a plastic bottle in half 2. Cover the open end with baby wipe and secure it with a hair band 3. Create rainbow colors with food coloring. 4. Add dish soap to a bowl of water. 5. Dip the baby wipe end in soapy water, blow from the bottle. and watch rainbow bubbles form! Science Behind It Dish soap helps water stretch into thin layers, trapping air inside and forming bubbles. Adding food coloring makes them look like macical rainbow streams! The fabric spreads the soap evenly, so you get lots of bubbles all at once. Save this post for later. Rainbow rain science experiment🌧️ 🌈 This experiment is mesmerizing for young explorers, and it’s super easy to set up! Start by filling a jar about 3/4 full with water. Then, plop a fluffy shaving cream “cloud” on top. Using Twisty Droppers, drizzle in some food coloring mixed with water and watch the colors trickle down like rain from the clouds! The shaving cream acts just like a real cloud, holding onto water droplets until they become heavy enough to release rain. In this case, the food coloring is like those raindrops. It’s a fun and interactive way to learn all about the wonders of weather science! • • • #learningresources #learningthroughplay #kidsscience #kidsactivities #scienceexperiments

You don’t need the perfect weather for this rainbow! ✉️ SHARE this with someone who needs Hey I’m Izzy, a high school science teacher helping you use what you’ve got at home to do science activities that are simple, fun, and stress free. 🧠 We expect water to move down, with gravity. So when the water creeps up the paper towel it breaks our brain out of autopilot. Challenging common expectations is a great way to develop curiosity and get kids actively thinking about what’s going on. Asking them questions at this point extends and deepens their thinking. 👉 How To: 1. Half fill some glasses with water and add different food colouring to each one 2. Fold a paper towel to create a thin strip, put each end into different glasses 3. Watch the rainbow bridge appear! 📌 SAVE this for your next rainy day, and follow for more inspo! #ScienceAtHome #KidsActivities #ScreenFreeActivities #PlayAndLearn #ScienceActivitiesForKids

🤫 *Magic Bubbles from a Bottle! 🫧✨* Looking for a 2-minute science experiment that actually wows? This “No-Prep” activity is a hit for curious kiddos! What you need: • Empty small bottle 🍼 • Dish soap 🧼 • 1 bowl of HOT water 🔥 • 1 bowl of COLD water 🧊 The Steps: 1️⃣ Dip the bottle rim into dish soap to create a film. 2️⃣ Dip the base in COLD water—nothing happens! 3️⃣ Dip the base in HOT water—watch a bubble grow instantly! 🎈 The Science 🧠: Hot water heats the air inside the bottle, causing it to expand. That air needs space, so it pushes out through the soap film to create a bubble! 🌬️ Perfect for ages 3+ #letstalk about toddler’s activities at home Love simple learning ideas like this? One of our favorite science experiments that my kids always ask to do again and again 🧪✨ All you need is baking soda, vinegar, and food coloring and the bubble explosion never gets old! We even got our little animal friends involved this time in a bubble “search and rescue.” We talked about how the ingredients react together to make all the fizzing, then wrote down what we noticed like little scientists 🥹 I love showing my kids that science is all around us and that learning can be hands-on and fun!
