HOhot honey caramelised onion smash burgers - healthy winter warmers
Ingredients:
300g 5% mince meat
2 brioche burger buns
1 onion
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp chilli flakes
2 large potatoes
4 tbsp chipotle mayonnaise
Handful of shredded lettuce
4 cheese slices
- slice the onion, and add to an oiled pan. Fry off until soft and browned - then add in the honey and chilli flakes and stir. Leave for a further 15 minutes until completely caramelised!
- combine the mince meat with salt & pepper, and portion into 4. Smash as thin as possible, then fry off for 7 minutes until cooked through and browned.
- chop the potatoes into chips, add to the airfryer and coat in oil, salt & pepper. Cook on 180 for 30 minutes - they’re perfect! No need to parboil
- toast the bun & layer up as shown in the video, wrap the burgers in foil and place back into the airfryer for 5 minutes!
