JETop 6 things to do in Cali 🇨🇴⬇️
I’m back in Colombia for the third time this time with @passporterapp who created this trip for me ✈️ This time, we really dive into the culture of @colombia.travel #thecountryofbeauty 🇨🇴
Since Cali is the salsa capital of the world, I came here to experience the way of life, learn more about the dance that defines this city, and see what makes Cali so special beyond the music 💃🏼
1️⃣ Take Salsa Lessons 💃🏽 – In Cali, salsa isn’t just a dance—it’s a way of life. Even if you’re a beginner like me, it’s so much fun!
2️⃣ Tour Comuna 20 🎨 – This hillside neighborhood is full of life, with colorful murals, local music, and incredible views over the city. A tour here gave me a real insight into the people of Cali and how art and community come together.
3️⃣ Visit Salsa Street (Avenida Sexta) 🎶 – At night, Cali turns into one big salsa party. Avenida Sexta is packed with salsa clubs, live bands, and people dancing on the streets. Whether you dance or not, the vibe is contagious!
4️⃣ Hike to Las Tres Cruces ⛰️ – This early morning hike is 100% worth it. It’s a bit of a workout, but the views at the top are unreal! Locals come here to exercise, and the atmosphere is super energetic.
5️⃣ Take a Walking Tour of Downtown Cali 🏛️ – Walking through downtown Cali, I got to see Plaza de Caycedo, La Merced Church, and Iglesia de San Francisco, while also learning about the city’s Afro-Colombian roots and how it has evolved over the years.
6️⃣ Visit Cristo Rey ✝️ – This huge Christ statue stands on a hill overlooking the city, and the views from up here are incredible. It’s a peaceful spot to take a break from all the dancing and exploring.
