This is your daily reminder to be proud of your body and not care what other people think - no matter your shape and size! 💪 After we played pickleball (who knew it was so popular in the Philippines 🇵🇭), my husband, cousins, and I decided to test a theory: Are Filipino calves undefeated?! It all started when my cousin commented on how muscular and defined my calves were 🤯 and then we all decided to have a flex off LOL But honestly, this was just a reminder to have fun and be confident in your own skin. For years, a lot of women (myself included) were told certain body features were “too big”, “too muscular”, “not feminine enough” and “ugly” if we had these features. Now? I’m embracing it fully, no matter where I am in the world. From nyc and even in the pinas 🥹 and it was such a fun time reconnecting with my cousins ♥️ they’re the best and truly feel like the brothers I never had. And I’m so grateful my cousins were ready to join the flex too!! Confidence looks good on everyone. You will never have calves like mine unless you genetically have similar insertions and willing to put many years of hard work in. Genetics determine top potential but that doesn't mean you cannot develop your best set of calves. Most “bad genetics” are really bad execution, low frequency, and zero patience. 2️⃣ Not Making Calves a Top Priority If calves are slapped onto the end of leg day when you’re already exhausted, they’ll never grow. Calves must be trained fresh, focused, and with intent. 3️⃣ Not Enough Volume & Frequency Calves recover fast and need more work. Training them once a week won’t cut it.
