Step-by-step:
1️⃣ Film yourself “texting” on your iPhone, leaving negative space on one side
2️⃣ Start a new Canva Reel project + upload your video
3️⃣ Add your text in your chosen font + colours
4️⃣ Select your text → Effects → Curve → adjust until it wraps around the side of your phone
5️⃣ Select your text again → Animate → Typing → adjust the speed to match your clip
6️⃣ Export as MP4 and upload as a reel
7️⃣ 💡 Extra touch: add a typing sound effect in Edits before posting

This effect makes your text look way more elevated (but it’s actually so easy to do)!!
Here’s how to do it step by step:
1. Type your text in the same color as the background
2. Apply the Shadow effect (use the same settings I used)
3. Duplicate your text
4. Change the Shadow effect settings on the duplicate
5. Place the two texts on top of each other and move the top one back
6. Reduce the transparency until it looks soft
And you’re done!
If you create covers, quotes, or posters, this is such an easy way to make your design look cooler without doing too much.
