Watch water walk and create new colours right before your eyes 🌈💧 This simple experiment amazed the kids as the water slowly travelled through the paper towel and mixed together. Red and yellow made orange, and yellow and blue made green right in the empty cups. A fun and easy science activity for kids that shows how colours mix while learning real science through play. Perfect to try at home or in the classroom. Tips for best results • Use 5–6 clear cups and place them close together • Fill every second cup with coloured water and leave the others empty • Add plenty of food colouring so the colour mixing is clear • Fold paper towel into thick strips and make sure both ends touch the bottom of each cup • Give it time — colour mixing usually appears within 30–90 minutes The science behind it is called capillary action, where water moves through tiny spaces in the paper towel. #preschool#fyp#scienceforkids#educator#kidsactivitiesideas

How to Make a 3 Layer Bubble 🫧 ages 3+ 🫧 Here’s a fun experiment you can do at home. 😀All you need is some bubble mix, a straw and a wet paper towel. Start by wetting down your table with the wet paper towel. This dip your straw in the bubble mix and blow a bubble on the table. Dip the straw again and push it inside the bubble and blow another bubble. Finally dip the straw again in your bubble mix and place it inside the second bubble and blow a third bubble! Water Filtration Experiment 💧 In this simple science experiment, children explore how water can be cleaned using different natural materials. Using items like sand, small rocks, cotton, we create a mini water filter and pour dirty water through it to see what happens. As the water passes through each layer, the materials trap dirt and tiny particles, making the water clearer. 🌈 Easy kids science experiment at home that teaches color mixing, patience, and early STEM skills This “walking water rainbow” experiment looks like magic… but it’s actually simple science your kids can SEE happen right in front of them 👀 And the best part? You probably already have everything you need in your kitchen. Here’s how to do this easy kids activity step by step: 1️⃣ Line up 7 jars. Fill every other jar with water 2️⃣ Add food coloring. Use red, yellow, and blue in alternating jars 3️⃣ Fold paper towels and drape one between each jar 4️⃣ Wait a few hours and watch the colors “walk” and mix into a rainbow 🌈 What your child is learning while they think they’re just having fun: ✨ Color mixing and early science concepts ✨ Patience and observation skills ✨ Cause and effect ✨ Focus and attention This is one of those activities kids will want to check over and over again… and that excitement is where real learning happens 💛 Save this for later so you can try it tonight. I love turning simple moments into learning with my kids 🥹🌈. Their reaction at the end 😭. This rainbow experiment looks like magic—but it’s actually teaching density in the coolest way (and YES it really works 👏🏽) We were all shocked when it didn’t mix!! ⸻ 🧪 How to do it: You’ll need: • Honey • Corn syrup • Dish soap • Water (mix with food coloring) • Vegetable oil • Rubbing alcohol (top layer) if you have room in the container 👉🏽I linked everything we used in my Amazon storefront to make it easy for you (cups, droppers, food coloring, etc!) ⸻ ✨ Steps: 1. Start with honey at the bottom 2. Slowly add corn syrup 3. Add dish soap 4. Pour in colored water 5. Add vegetable oil 6. Finish with rubbing alcohol (lightest layer) 💡 TIP: Pour SLOWLY over the back of a spoon so layers don’t mix! ⸻ This is such an easy way to make science fun for kids of all ages 🙌🏾 Save this for later + tag me when you try it!! ⸻ #homeschoolmom #kidsactivities #learningthroughplay #stemforkids #scienceforkids

Mixing Colours - Walking Water Science Experiment for kids😨🌈Capillary Action Watch science in action! 🌈 In this video, we’re creating "Walking Water" using just food coloring, tissue paper, and glasses. It’s the perfect DIY science experiment to see how capillary action works in real-time. What you’ll need: 6 Glasses Water Food coloring (Primary colors work best!) Paper towels/Tissues NOTE: It would take 30 minutes(approximately) for the water-color to transfer. The Science: The water "walks" up the paper towel through a process called capillary action—the same way plants get water from their roots!
