Phin was born with a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia! This means his cerebellum never fully developed, so he’s missing a lot of neurons important for proper coordination. It doesn’t get worse or better over time, and it’s not treatable, but it isn’t painful, and he’s a very happy cat despite his disability!😺 #phineasthecat #phinstagram #cerebellarhypoplasia #catsofinstagram

From @tippytuxies: "I could watch Calvin’s prance all day long. All that fancy footwork on such a well suited feline? It’s too much! 😻 Calvin (and his littermates Rosie and Daisy) have a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This means the part of their brain that controls movement, balance and coordination is underdeveloped. They are not in pain and this condition does not get worse over time, nor are there any treatments for it. Cats with this condition typically adapt by walking with their legs spread wider or in Calvin’s case, a high step prance that’s not quite in a straight line. Excitement can cause them to have less control over their movements. They are three extremely loved and happy cats. ❤️❤️❤️" #catsofinstagram

Toes may not have a fully developed cerebellum, but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to be loved, cuddled and provided with the same padded surfaces as any other kitten! Sometimes you have to crawl before you learn to...crawling is fine. Toes is playful, curious, cuddly and would love another cat to keep him company as he navigates the world from a lower center of gravity. There is no treatment for cerebellar hypoplasia, and cats like Toes can lead relatively normal and healthy lives. Come down to Seattle Humane and let Toes crawl into your hearts today!

throwing it back to one of our most popular cats EVER… CONNIE!! 💖💖 Connie was rescued by the amazing @cozycommunitycats and came to us through our partner @anjelliclecats rescue! Connie is a vocal, adorable, spirited little wobbly cat who never lets her Cerebellar Hypoplasia get in the way of having a good time. This trend over on tiktok got us thinking about what a set of pipes she had on her as she waited in her crate for mealtime!! Connie was adopted more than a year ago but we still can’t get enough of this video. We miss you, Connie!! We hope you’re wobbly dancin’ at the Pink Pony Club!

Our bestie, Mr. Scrappy, has arrived to the adoption floor @minicattown.paloalto 😻 Yes that means you can go hangout with him!! We think that if more people get to interact with him and more people learn about his condition (CH), the sooner his forever family will walk through those doors and adopt him! ☺️ We hope you’ll stop by and meet him, he’s the best!! . CH in cats stands for Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a non-progressive, non-contagious neurological condition caused by an underdeveloped cerebellum at birth. Often called “wobbly cat syndrome” it causes jerky movements, tremors, and poor coordination, but cats with CH are not in pain, do not worsen over time, and can live long, happy, and active lives.

Some cats don’t walk the usual way… and that’s part of what makes them extra special. 💛 These three siblings have Cerebellar Hypoplasia, or CH, sometimes called “wobbly cat syndrome.” CH affects balance and coordination, but it doesn’t cause pain, isn’t contagious, and doesn’t get worse over time. McKenna is outgoing and unstoppable, Maxine is slightly steadier and super sweet, and Miro is quietly curious, showing interest in his own time. Despite their differences, they all love to play, snuggle, and enjoy treats — just like any other cat. Cats with CH do best with patient adopters who celebrate each step, cheer for every success, and see the joy in their unique way of moving through the world. In return, these special kitties give back endless trust, affection, and love. These three will be up for adoption soon! If you’re interested in a wobbly addition to your family, keep an eye on our website!

Whoops. 🫣 This is what I imagine is going on in Winnie’s head most of the time. Edit: I’ve decided to edit this post and put a disclaimer because it appears many of you are uninformed when it comes to kittens with the condition Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which this kitten has. It’s a condition that occurs when the Mom cat is pregnant and falls ill with panleukopenia virus or is severely malnourished. The cerebellum (responsible for motor functioning) doesn’t develop properly in the kittens in the womb and makes them wobbly and fall over when they walk. The condition isn’t painful and they live perfectly normal, healthy lives and can do everything a normal kitten can do, they’re just wobbly. I don’t intervene in situations like this when they’re using the litter box because we want the kittens to learn how to adapt to their condition and get stronger. I’m also not making fun of her condition (not that she would know anyhow), but instead showcasing her condition and personality to bring about awareness and hopefully get them adopted. #cerebellarhypoplasia #cerebellarhypoplasiacat #specialneeds #specialneedscat #hocuspocus

2024 knocked a lot of us down. Don’t let 2025 do the same 💫 Take a leaf out of Skittles’s book! No matter what gets her knocked down, she gets her wobbly self back up and is back at being the happy-go-lucky gal we love 💞 Sweet Skittles has Cerebellar Hypoplasia. It affects her balance, coordination and motor skills. She wobbles as though her legs are made of jelly, but she feels no pain at all! Her playful attitude never fails to bring a smile to our faces. Every time she plays or runs, her legs will give away and she’ll fall on her side. But she never lets that stop her from getting right up again and giving play another shot! She’s always excited to see her favourite string toy waving about, or a comfy bag belonging to a visitor. She’s also happy to curl up on the comfiest lap she can find 🥰 Little Skittles can never fail to inspire 🍭 She’s playing excitedly everyday, hoping for a wonderful hooman to take a chance on her 🥺 While she doesn’t mind going solo, she’d love to have a kitty friend, new or old with her! Skittles would love to be in a home with a loving couple or a family with children. Do you think she could be the kitty for you? To adopt Skittles and bring her home drop us a DM or call us on +91 82914 90907 (Tuesdays -Sundays, 12pm - 10pm) or drop by the cafe to meet her and our kitties! #catstagram #catsofinstagram #catsofmumbai #adoptdisabledcats #adoptdontshop #adoptrescuefoster #cerebellarhypoplasia #calicocat
