These homemade cheese crackers are made with just 3 ingredients and they’re dangerously addictive! Crispy, salty, way better than store-bought. Perfect for snacks, lunchboxes, cheese boards, or midnight munchies πŸŒ™ Ingredients: β€’ 230g (2 cups) sharp cheddar, finely grated β€’ 115g (Β½ cup / 4 Tbsp) cold unsalted butter, cubed β€’ 125g (1 cup) plain flour (Optional: 1-3 Tbsp ice water if dough needs it. Steps: 1. Pulse cheese + butter + flour in a food processor until crumbly like sand. Add tiny splashes of ice water if too dry, until it forms a ball. 2. Wrap & chill dough 30 mins (key for crispiness!). 3. Preheat oven to 180-190Β° (I did 190, but my oven is a little put). Roll thin (3-4mm, i made mine a little thicker, but prefer thinner) between baking paper, cut into small squares, poke holes with a toothpick. 4. Bake 12-15 mins until golden & edges crisp. Cool completely – they get crunchier! Store in airtight container up to a week (if they last that long πŸ˜‚). #HomemadeCheeseCrackers #EasySnacks #BakingFromScratch #QuickRecipes #CapeTownFoodie

Stop buying cheese crackers. You can make them with 6 ingredients at home! Homemade cheese crackers are ridiculously easy and cost a fraction of the ones from the supermarket. Most store-bought crackers are full of additives, preservatives and ingredients you can’t even pronounce. These use 6 simple pantry ingredients you probably already have at home. Plus they taste SO much better. This is Part 1 of my homemade snack series where I’m making: β€’ Cheese Crackers β€’ Cheesy Mite Scrolls β€’ Apple Oat Cookies Simple snacks, less additives, and cheaper than the shops. Save this so you can try them later! Cheese Crackers Ingredients β€’ 1 cup freshly milled flour (or plain flour) β€’ 1 cup diced cheese β€’ 1 tsp baking powder β€’ 3 tbsp cold butter β€’ 1 tsp salt β€’ 1 tsp paprika (optional) β€’ 2–3 tbsp cold water Instructions Preheat oven to 180Β°C fan. Pulse flour, cheese, butter, paprika and salt in a food processor. Add water slowly until dough forms. Roll very thin (between baking paper can help). Cut into small squares. Prick with a fork. Bake 12–15 minutes until crisp and golden. Store in a jar with the lid slightly open so they stay crunchy. #homemadefood #fromscratchcooking #healthysnacksforkids #freshmilledflour #budgetfriendlyfood

All you need is salt, flour, butter, cheese and milk! This one’s super simple for my busy mamas who want to try making homemade snacks with limited time. The kids will love this one, actually the whole family will. Homemade 5-Ingredient Cheez-It Crackers πŸ§€ One thing we’ve been loving lately is spending time in the kitchen together every week. As a mom of 4 (with one on the way!), I wanted my girls to start learning and helping more. They get so excited making their own snacks and they especially love bringing them to school to share with their friends. πŸ₯Ή Ingredients β€’ 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese β€’ 4 tbsp softened butter β€’ 1 cup all-purpose flour β€’ Β½ tsp salt β€’ 2–3 tbsp cold water Instructions 1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350Β°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2️⃣ Mix cheddar, butter, flour, and salt until crumbly (a bowl or food processor works). 3️⃣ Add cold water 1 tbsp at a time until a dough forms. 4️⃣ Roll the dough thin (about β…› inch) on a lightly floured surface. 5️⃣ Cut into small squares and poke a tiny hole in the middle. 6️⃣ Bake 12–15 minutes until golden and crispy. Let them cool and enjoy! The thinner you roll them, the crispier they’ll be. β€œShould we make another homemade snack next week with the girls? πŸ‘€ Give me ideas!!” Food) #momlife #momof4 #momcontent #familycooking #cookingwithkids homemaderecipe

Super simple & clean 5 ingredient cheese crackers! 16oz sharp cheddar cheese 2 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp salt 1/2 cup unsalted butter cubed 4 tbsp whole milk (cold) I had to bake mine for a lot longer than the recipe called for because I could not get mine to be thin enough! I ended up baking at 325 for around 30 minutes and may have even bumped the heat up at the end to get them extra crispy. I would just keep checking them until they look done! 🫢🏼 Thanks @crowded_kitchen for sharing! πŸ§€ #homemadefood #easysnacks #homemadesnacks #toddlersnacks #cleansnacks

Simple Homemade Cheeze-It Style Crackers (Blender/Food Processor Method) Ingredients: 1.5–2 cups freshly milled flour 1 cup shredded cheese 2 tbsp nutritional yeast 1/4 tbsp salt 2–3 tbsp olive oil Water (as needed) Instructions: Add the flour, cheese, nutritional yeast, and salt into a high-speed blender or food processor. Pulse a few times to combine. Add the olive oil, then slowly add water while blending/pulsing until the mixture comes together into a workable dough ball. Remove the dough, shape into a ball if needed, and wrap or cover. Chill in the fridge for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). Roll the dough out thin (about 1/8 inch thick) on a floured surface. Cut into small squares and place on a baking sheet (poke a small hole in the center if you want the classic cracker look). Bake for 8–10 minutes, until lightly golden and crisp. Let cool completely before eatingβ€”they will crisp up as they cool. Enjoy your crispy, cheesy homemade crackers! #homemade #recipes #healthysnacks #snackidess #mealideas

Cheese crackers! These are fun and easy. And hard to keep stocked because Tony loves them so much. I made these for the boys camping trip last weekend and it was hard to even get them packed because Tony wouldn’t stop eating them long enough for me to get them in a baggie. 2oz shredded cheddar 1 cup APF 4TBS unsalted butter 1-2TBSP ice cold water Salt Garlic powder Onion powder Smoked paprika Mix everything but the water in a food processor. Slowly add in the water till the dough forms. Knead a bit and form a rectangle. Wrap and chill for 30min to over night. I tossed this in the freezer for about 20min. The idea is you want it nice and chilled so it isn’t melting on you… but also able to roll out and cut. Roll out onto a slightly floured surface and cut into crackers. I have a cutter that makes the goldfish shapes. But also you can use a knife (or the cutter tool I used) to cut into squares or really any shape you want! Poke a small hole in each one. Bake at 350F for about 10-15min till the edges are slightly browned. I let cool on the cookie sheet and then moved over to a paper towel for but before bagging up (or attempting to bag up around Tony eating lol). Enjoy! #annlongcooks #homemade #cheesecrackers #cookingathome #homemade

the after school classic, from scratch. Homemade Cheez Its πŸ§€βœ¨ (No Yucky Ingredients!) prep time: 15 minutes bake time: 17–20 minutes total time: about 35–40 minutes yield: about 150–200 mini crackers (depending how small you cut them) Ingredients cheesy cracker dough: 2 cups, 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, freshly shredded 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Β½ tsp sea salt ΒΌ cup unsalted butter, cold & cubed 2 tbsp cold whole milk or until your dough comes together 1 tbsp at a time pinch smoked paprika (optional, adds depth without overpowering) Flaky sea salt, for topping Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 325Β°F. line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. Add shredded cheese, flour, and salt to a food processor. pulse until combined. 3. Add cold butter and pulse again until the mixture looks crumbly. 4. Add milk and pulse just until the dough comes together and holds when pressed (don’t overmix). 5. Lightly flour your surface and roll the dough out very thin, thinner than β…› inch is best for crispy crackers. I went a little thick but it is up to your preference. 6. Cut into 1-inch squares and poke a small hole in the center of each (that classic cheez-it look). 7. Place on baking sheet and sprinkle with a tiny pinch of salt if you want. 8. Bake 17–20 minutes, until golden and crisp. let cool completely β€” they get crunchier as they cool. 9. Store in an airtight container for up to a week (if they last that long 😏). Notes: β€’ freshly shredded cheese works best β€” pre-shredded cheese doesn’t melt as smoothly. β€’ the thinner you roll the dough, the crispier the crackers will be. β€’ if the dough feels too dry, add Β½ tsp milk at a time. if too sticky, lightly flour your surface. β€’ you can swap in white cheddar, colby jack, or even add a pinch of paprika or garlic powder for flavor. #kids #recipe #moms

Homemade Cheez-Its might take a little patience… but they are SO worth it. πŸ§€βœ¨ Honestly, the hardest part was spacing them all out and poking those tiny holes in every cracker πŸ˜… but knowing we’re making a no-junk, real ingredient snack for our family makes it completely worth the extra few minutes. Crispy, cheesy, and made with simple ingredients we already had at home. No preservatives. No mystery ingredients. Just real food. These disappeared almost as fast as we made them! Would you try making your own crackers at home? Save this for a fun homemade snack idea! πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ #homemadesnacks #homemadecheezits #fromscratchcooking #realfoodsnacks #homemadecrackers
