The Château de Dampierre built in the 17th century and recently restored and reopened to the public, is a hidden gem located in the Vallée de Chevreuse — a perfect day trip from Paris 🤩.
Its gardens were designed by André Le Nôtre, famous for his work at Versailles ✨.
This spring the Chateau hosts a beautiful tulip festival with 80,000 tulip bulbs planted 🌷.
FYI some tulip beds were damaged by bad weather 🌧️ and geese 🪿, but the place is still gorgeous as you can see 😍!

🚊 around 2h with the RER B train from Châtelet les Halles station in Paris to St Rémy lès Chevreuse and then the bus 5313 to the Château.
⏰ The castle is open every day from 10am to 6:30pm from April 18 to May 3, 2026 and during school holidays (otherwise closed on Monday and Tuesday)
💰 Entrance adult full rate: 10€
