And that's not all! Phil Lord and Chris Miller (the team behind 21 Jump Street) are set to direct.

DIJonah Hill Initially Hated McLovin Actor During Superbad Auditions
It turns out the awkward tension between Seth and McLovin in Superbad wasn’t just acting—it was real.
When Christopher Mintz-Plasse showed up to an open casting call for the film, he quickly impressed the casting team and earned multiple callbacks. But not everyone was thrilled. Jonah Hill, already cast in the lead role, took an instant dislike to Mintz-Plasse. During auditions, Hill reportedly made fun of Christopher’s appearance, only for the newcomer to fire back with some jabs of his own. Jonah didn’t take it well.
After just three auditions together, Hill was so frustrated he went to producer Judd Apatow and asked that someone else be cast. But Apatow saw the real-life tension as a gift, famously telling Hill, “The fact that it bothers you is exactly what we want.”
In the end, the dynamic worked perfectly on screen, giving audiences one of the most memorable comedic trios of the 2000s. Fortunately, time healed things off-camera as well. Mintz-Plasse has since confirmed that Jonah apologized, saying, “We’ve totally squashed the beef... it worked for the movie.”
