Cinema should be seen in cinemas via : sanifoufilm.tt Movie theaters began in a surprisingly simple way. In 1895, brothers Auguste Lumière and Louis Lumière held the first paid public film screening at Salon Indien du Grand Café in Paris. They used a device called the Cinématographe, which could record, project, and display moving images all in one machine. One of the short films shown that night was L’Arrivée d’un train en gare de La Ciotat. According to popular stories, some audience members panicked and moved away from the screen because they thought the train was coming straight toward them. It shows how shocking moving images were for people who had never seen them before. At first, films were shown in cafés, fairs, or temporary venues. But as audiences grew rapidly, dedicated movie theaters began to appear in the early 1900s, turning cinema from a small novelty into one of the biggest entertainment industries in the world.

#cinema #audiovisuel #reseaucinema #paris #cinetalks
