Materials (for cladding only, see part 1 for framing and battens): 1. Cladding - James Hardie HardiePlank Smooth Weatherboard - 4200 x 230 x 7.5 2. Cladding Nails/Clouts - Paslode 25 x 2.8mm 500g Galvanised Clouts - 310 Pack Tools: 1. James Hardie Villaboard Knife Score and Snap 2. 2000mm Trade Spirit Level (or laser level) 3. Hammer HardiePlank weatherboard is made from engineered fibre cement and is resistant to damage from termites, rot and fire, as well as shrinking, cracking and swelling due to heat and moisture, which often happens with timber boards. Always wear a mask when cutting this material and ensure to clean up any dust to avoid kids or pets being exposed. Check out part 1 on my page for installing the framing and battens, which is what the cladding gets nailed onto.
