Geçen sene ilk kez kullanmıştım ve neden daha önce öğrenmemişim diye çok hayıflanmıştım ☺️ Her branş öğretmeni için oldukça kullanışlı bir uygulama kendisi, ücretli bölümü de var ama ücretsiz kısmı da oldukça yeterli. Nasıl kullanıyorum? -Ödev kontrolü yaparken (Öğrencileri görevlendiriyorum her ödev sonrası görevli öğrenciler akıllı tahtadan artı eksileri giriyorlar.. Öğrencilerin sorumluluk bilincini de arttırıyor) -Sınıfta daha çok olumlu davranışları pekiştirirken kullanıyorum (Öğrenci sınıfta artı aldığında velilere anında bilgi ulaşıyor ve bu şekilde aileler de sürece dahil olmuş oluyor, bu inanılmaz etkili) -Rastgele öğrenci seçerken -Erkinlik sırasında sözsüz odaklanma müzikleri için kullanıyorum. -Öğrencileri grup yaparken Gibi birçok şekilde kullanıyorum. Puanlama kriterlerini öğrencilerimle birlikte seçiyoruz ve böylece aslında kendi puanlama kriterlerini belirleyip sürece dahil olmuş oluyorlar. Ara ara belli puanlara ulaşanlara küçük ödüller veriyorum. Dönem sonunda da buradan sözlü notlarını veriyorum. Bu uygulama ders içinde öğrencilerin kontrollerini kayıt altına almamda ve onların motivasyonunu arttırmada inanılmaz etkili oldu. The chokehold that this lil’ cart will have on behavior in the 4th quarter gives me all the peace of mind I need to keep going until the Summer!!!! 😤💯 Other fun things about my Dojo Cart I would love to share with you in future videos: •How I have Student Leaders apply for the “Store Clerk” Leadership Roles and RUN the Dojo Store like a well-oiled machine after just a couple weeks of my guidance. •How students practice budgeting, responsibility, addition and subtraction, etc as they plan in advance for each week’s purchase, and have to account for any “penalties.” That’s right. Replacing school supplies may cost, or not being prepared to learn may cost Dojo Points! •How students may “buy back” confiscated items at the Dojo Cart, but not for cheap!! Let’s talk about one of my favorite tools: ClassDojo! 🚀 In the mornings, I use ClassDojo as a CHECK-IN system. As soon as my students enter the classroom, the routine is set: they take out their folder and pencil pouch, place them on the top corner of their desk, and then they can go up to the board to click the check next to their name. This system helps students build the crucial skill of responsibility for their own supplies and helps ensure that everyone is PREPARED for the day. 📝✨👇🏼👇🏼 To create effective systems, it’s all about breaking down every step and modeling exactly what we expect: - What do they do when they come in? ➡️ Take off their backpack and put it behind their chair. - What’s the next step? ➡️ Take out their folder and pencil pouch, and place them on their desk, top corner—very specifically. - What’s the next step? ➡️ Calmly go up to the smart board to click the checkmark. - HOW do they wait if a classmate is using the smart board? - Once they have their checkmark, WHAT do they do? ➡️ Return to their seats and practice the important skill of patience. - What does patience look like in our classroom? In our class we have 3 options ( 1 close our eyes and think a happy thought or memory, 2 smile, 3 breathing exercises while we build stamina) **Every single detail matters!** When we explicitly teach each part of the routine, our students clearly understand what we expect.
