Ever wondered why apps need the internet to work? 🤔 On Day 2 of my "100 Days, 100 System Design Topics" challenge, I’m explaining the Client-Server Model, the backbone of web architecture! 💻 From understanding what a client (your phone/browser) is to the role of a server (the central brain), I'm breaking it all down. Watch to learn about the request-response cycle and why separating concerns is key in software design. Topics covered: Client definition, Server definition, Request-Response cycle, Separating concerns in software. #SystemDesign #ClientServer #SoftwareArchitecture #codinglife #LearnToCode TechExplained

Witnessing this developer's mastery over their full-stack workflow is seriously inspiring! 🤯 They've moved to a dedicated setup where the front-end and back-end servers run in isolation, demanding two separate, aptly named terminal instances—'client' and 'server'—for perfect oversight. The secret sauce involves meticulous directory separation for all client and server files, requiring a switch into the correct folder before execution. Talk about optimizing a development environment for clarity and control! How do you manage your separate server instances? 🤔 #FullStackDevelopment #DevSetup #CodeOrganization #WebDevelopment #TerminalTips

Client vs Server Explained Simply | How the Internet Actually Works What’s the difference between a client and a server, and why does it matter? In this video, I explain client/server architecture using a simple real-life example that makes the concept instantly clear, even if you’re new to tech. You’ll learn how clients (like browsers and mobile apps) send requests, and how servers receive those requests, process logic, access data, and send responses back. We also touch on common server-side languages like Python, Java, Node.js, and PHP, and how the client uses HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to display results. If you’re learning web development, software engineering, or just want to understand how apps and websites work behind the scenes, this video gives you the mental model you need, without jargon or confusion. #ClientServer #ClientServerArchitecture #HowTheInternetWorks #TechExplained #WebDevelopment

Why does a website load fast even when the main server is far away? That happens because of something called edge servers. “Let’s start from the basics. Normally, an app has a main server in one location. If users from all over the world hit that server, people who are far away get slow responses. This is where edge servers come in. Edge servers are servers placed closer to users, near the ‘edge’ of the network — not at the center. Think of it like this:Instead of everyone going to one big warehouse, small stores are opened near your house. So how do edge servers work? When a user makes a request: static data like images or videos cached content sometimes even simple logic is handled by the nearest edge server, not the main server. Only complex requests go back to the main server. This makes apps: load faster reduce latency handle more traffic stay reliable during spikes Edge servers are commonly used in: CDNs video streaming apps APIs security checks In simple words:edge servers bring computation and content closer to users,so apps feel fast everywhere.
