Something I keep seeing with service businesses around the $1–3M range is this. The team exists. Revenue is solid. But approvals still come back to the owner. Client issues escalate upward. Decisions still land on their desk. Eventually the owner starts asking a simple question: “Why am I still approving this?” Most of the time it isn’t a people problem. It’s what happens when growth increases faster than the structure of the business. Hiring adds people. Structure removes owner dependency. Quick question.
