Closure in JavaScript is a form of lexical scoping used to preserve variables from the outer scope of a function in the inner scope of a function. Lexical scoping is the process used to define the scope of a variable by its position in the source code. When you define a function, any variables within the function are only available from within the function. Attempting to access variables within a function from outside will result in a scope error; this is where closure comes in handy. Classes vs Closures in JavaScript — when should you use what? 🤔 Both help you structure logic, but they solve different problems! Class → Great for creating reusable objects, OOP structure, inheritance & cleaner architecture. Closure → Perfect for data privacy, encapsulation, and preserving state without classes. If you’re a JavaScript developer, understanding this difference is a game-changer 🚀 Save this post 📌 & share with dev friends 💬 #javascript #javascriptdeveloper #javascriptlearning #jstips #webdevelopment

Closure tricky question Explanation: This behavior is due to the closure property in JavaScript. The setTimeout function creates a closure, and in JavaScript, closures capture the variables from their outer scope. In this case, the variable i is captured by the closure created by the anonymous function passed to setTimeout. The loop runs and schedules five setTimeout functions. These functions will print the value of i after a delay. However, since the setTimeout functions share the same closure, they all reference the same variable i. At the time the functions are executed (after the loop has completed), the value of i is 5. Therefore, when the console.log(i) is executed inside each setTimeout callback, it prints the final value of i, which is 5, for all five functions. This can be easlity fixed by changeing var to let or by using IIFE. #closure #javascript #dsa

💞 Day 26 / 50 — JavaScript Closures Explained Through a Love Story! Ever been in a situation where someone left… but their memories stayed? 😅 That’s exactly how Closures work in JavaScript! 💻 In our code 👇 function loveStory() { let crush = "xyz ❤️"; function memory() { console.log("Still thinking about", crush); } return memory; } const myHeart = loveStory(); myHeart(); // Still thinking about xyz ❤️ 💡 What’s happening? When loveStory() finishes, its execution ends — but memory() still remembers the variable crush. That “remembering power” is called a Closure — the inner function keeps access to variables from its outer scope, even after that outer function is gone! 😍 ✅ Key Takeaways • Function ends, but its variables stay alive in memory. • Closures help preserve data without polluting global scope. • Used in callbacks, async logic, and data privacy. So next time your function says “Still thinking about xyz ❤️”, just smile and say — “That’s Closure, bro!” 😂 💬 Drop a comment if you finally got your closure… JavaScript wala! 😉 — #JavaScript #Closures #LearnJavaScript #WebDevelopment #FrontendDeveloper #CodingReels #JSChallenge #100DaysOfCode #ProgrammingHumor #WebDevIndia #FrontendDev #AsyncJS #LexicalScope
