MYPoint the toe ✨
Used all my childhood dance training to share my new Fall Evelyn and Max 🤣 ! You all know how much I love these two @chalkandnotch patterns!
Here’s how I modified the Evelyn Skirt:
Added 3” to the length. Since I added some length I wanted to taper in the skirt hem. So, I started with a size 6 and after my first fit check I tapered in the lower half of the skirt. I used a 1/4” SA at each seam, except for the back seam where I used a 1/2” SA. The skirt is much more fitted and I love the tapered shape.
For Max, I used 1/2” elastic in the waist.
Fabric for Evelyn is a canvas from @blackbirdfabrics (older fabric from my stash).
Max is made with Pointelle knit from @lyricalfabrics .

STFor today's #memademaybutmakeitweird prompt, Vogue has entered the chat. Today we're working with - "What You'd Wear to Get Interviewed by Vogue... in Your Living Room".
Keeping it comfortable today with my #thepoppypattern by @cinnamondaisystudio but adding a structural element with my #cnmaxtee from @chalkandnotch. It comes up a little long for this dress, so I added a thrifted belt and the scarf was for the drama. I saw someone who was a scarf tying magician do this and knew I had to try it for today, but it promptly came off. 😂
Stay to the end for chat GPT's take on what this would look like as a vogue cover. The things it did to my face... I tried to get it to leave my poor face alone, but this was the best it could do. 🤣😭 But I actually really love the dress it morphed my outfit into and I'd be down for a pattern like that...

Thanks so much for the birthday wishes, you guys! I had a wonderful day celebrating.
Adding my new pink sweater with removable sleeves to my wardrobe spurred an idea of mixing it up with my other pink outfits and I had so much fun playing with the different looks and accessories (mainly shoes and earrings actually). I’m eager to explore things further by incorporating some other colors or prints from my closet or making a few additional tops or bottoms to make this a whole capsule.
Thank you to @wearethefabricstore for gifting me this beautiful ZQ merino wool fabric. I was skeptical about trying this fabric because of my sensitive skin but a review by @jasikaistrycurious convinced me to give it a try. I’m so glad I did because my merino wool tops and sweaters have become a staple in my wardrobe. Can every wool be like this, please?😜
Also, shout out to @juki_club for the serger I use to make all these amazing things.

HASo happy with how this sweater turned out! I had this exact outfit in mind while I was sewing it up; I made this particularly to layer over dresses but it’ll also look cool with high waisted pants. JOI was able to make some time today to sew a fairly fast knit project , the #cnmaxtee that has been in my summer que for awhile !
I used this beautiful jersey fabric gifted from @sitkafabrics it is the perfect weight for this project . Please use a pressing cloth when pressing your fabric to avoid iron marks //
I made a size 8 with no mods , using view B with facings and full length . I measure into the bust 35” of a a/b cup this works really well next time I will raise the arm holes up about .5” . It’s a boxy fit you could prob size down if you are wanting a more fitted tee . As always impeccable design and instructions ! I loved creating the facing around the sleeves and neckline too.
