हिंदू कोड बिल (Hindu Code Bill) काय आहे?
हे विधेयक भारतीय संसदेत २४ फेब्रुवारी १९४९ रोजी मांडले गेले.
उद्देश:
या बिलाचा मुख्य उद्देश हिंदू समाजातील स्त्रियांच्या हक्कांसाठी समान कायदा तयार करणे आणि त्यांना सामाजिक, आर्थिक आणि कायदेशीर समानता मिळवून देणे हा होता.
महत्त्व:
हे विधेयक हिंदू स्त्रियांच्या अधिकारांसाठी एक महत्त्वाचे पाऊल होते, ज्यामुळे त्यांना मालमत्तेत समान वाटा, वारसा हक्क, घटस्फोट आणि पुनर्विवाह करण्याचा अधिकार मिळाला.
डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर आणि बिल:
डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांनी हे विधेयक तयार करण्यासाठी ४ वर्षे, १ महिना आणि २६ दिवस काम केले.
विधेयकातील तरतुदी:
या विधेयकात अनेक महत्त्वाच्या गोष्टी होत्या, जसे की, स्त्रियांना मालमत्तेत समान वाटा, घटस्फोट घेण्याचा अधिकार, पुनर्विवाह करण्याचा अधिकार आणि आंतरजातीय विवाह कायदेशीर मान्यता.
विरोध:
या विधेयकाला काही लोकांनी विरोध केला, ज्यामुळे ते पूर्णपणे मंजूर होऊ शकले नाही.
राजीनामा:
डॉ. आंबेडकरांनी या विधेयकावर होत असलेला विरोध आणि त्यातील दिरंगाईमुळे 27 सप्टेंबर 1951 रोजी मंत्रीपदाचा राजीनामा दिला.
