EMYesterday, @babypereppadan and I had the pleasure of attending a very special celebration marking the 40th anniversary of St Aidan’s Community School.
The atmosphere was filled with pride, positivity, and a true sense of community spirit. It was wonderful to meet the dedicated staff, enthusiastic students, and supportive families who make this school such a vibrant place, guided so well by Principal Kevin Shortall and Vice Principal Una Moloney.
I was honoured to receive a jar filled with 500 crystal stones, but not just any stones - each student held and manifested their hopes and dreams into their own crystal stone then placed it into a jar. This beautiful and inspiring gift will be kept in Minister @helenmcentee office – a powerful reminder of the voices and futures of Ireland’s young people.
I was especially impressed by the school’s remarkable talent – from the energy and excellence in their remarkable sporting achievements, artistic displays and the beautiful performance by the school choir – the sound clip to this video.
Congratulations to everyone at St Aidan’s Community School on 40 years of excellence in education and community engagement.

Damanpreet, a Year 10 student from Heston Community School in Hounslow talks about his passion for football and give thanks to his teachers and sisters for their support in the video. Heston Community School in Hounslow is one of the few secondary schools in the country that has a centre for the deaf, offering dedicated learning and wellbeing support for students.
