19No one actually thinks about you as much as you think they do. They arenโt watching you every moment wondering what youโre going to do next. They arenโt chomping at the bit to chastise you or congratulate you.
When you go out into the world, you carry with you the traumas of your youth. So much of your time is spent looking inward and visualising yourself among others. An important part of growing up is growing out - realizing that other people just like you have had hardship, blessing, failures, attempts, etcetera.
Itโs not that people donโt care about you, they just donโt care so much about what seems impossibly important to you. And thatโs okay.
Everyoneโs fighting their own battles, figuring out their own paths, discovering who they are, and most all of us are honestly just scared. Scared to try new things. Scared to take risk. Scared to show the world who we are or what we believe or feel.
But thatโs only because weโre so hellbent on avoiding rejection and shame. But of all the cringey things I have done in my life, and trust me there are many, I remember very few. And of all the miraculous blessings I hold to, and trust me there are many, I also remember few.
We keep going, thatโs the point.
Donโt stay still wondering what someone else is going to say. Go for it.
