🐍 Interesting Fact: Back to the Outback (2021) — To create a more sympathetic portrayal of animals that are typically considered dangerous or “ugly” by humans (like snakes, spiders, and scorpions), the animation team deliberately gave them soft, rounded features and expressive, oversized eyes. Conversely, the conventionally “cute” animals, such as Pretty Boy the koala, were designed with more rigid, angular, and less inviting shapes to subtly reflect their spoiled or selfish personalities. The directors wanted to visually reinforce the film’s core message: you cannot accurately judge someone’s true character simply by looking at their outward appearance. The voice cast also featured prominently Australian actors to ensure the accents and cultural references felt authentic to the story’s setting.

Which mom did you have? 👇🏽 Mother’s Day is approaching and Mothers with a history of trauma often exhibit high emotional reactivity, fear-based parenting, and dissociation, leading to potential attachment difficulties. Conversely, mothers without this history or Mothers who have processed their trauma typically show consistent, calm emotional regulation and stable responsiveness. Trauma history often leads to "frightened” parenting, while secure mothers model safety, emotional regulation, and consistent, nurturing care. When mother’s are aware and use tools to help process the trauma they can typically repair trauma bonds and better prevent passing on generational trauma. Key Differences in Parenting Behavior: Trauma History: Might parent through a lens of fear, potentially causing the child to be hyper-attuned to the mother's mood, often leading to parentification (child acts as parent). No Trauma History or Processed Trauma: Typically provides a safe, predictable environment allowing the child to develop a healthy, secure attachment. Mothers with a history of trauma may show these signs: Hypervigilance: A persistent, anxious belief that danger is imminent, resulting in overprotective behavior or high anxiety. Emotional Dysregulation: Intense emotional outbursts or conversely, emotional numbness and detachment (dissociation) as a survival mechanism. Inconsistent Parenting: Traumatic triggers can lead to erratic behavior, where the mother may be loving one moment and cold or distant the next. Unresolved Guilt and Shame: A deep-seated sense of being "bad" or responsible for past trauma, which can impact self-worth and parenting confidence. Attachment Disruption: Difficulty attuning to a child's needs due to being overwhelmed by their own past, leading to "frightened" interactions.      Relationship Struggles: Distrust of others, inability to set boundaries, or enmeshment (lack of clear boundaries) with the child. *This reel doesn’t represent all mothers with trauma or without trauma and is for educational purposes only.* *All human experiences are unique and discuss treatment with your doctor*

Children from war zones often dream of safety, returning home, and peace, frequently plagued by nightmares and anxiety. Their dreams are intensely practical—survival and basic needs. Conversely, children who have never seen violence dream of toys, personal achievements, or imaginative scenarios, focused on long-term personal growth and future happiness. Dreams of Children from War Zones (Trauma-Informed) Survival-Focused: Dreams are often nightmares about losing family members, being pursued, or death. Desire for Normalcy: Simple dreams, such as returning to their pre-war home, going to school, or sleeping in a safe bed. Emotional Scars: Dreams can include screaming, flashbacks, or reliving violent, traumatic events. Heightened Maturity: They may dream of helping others or becoming heroes (e.g., firefighters) to counteract the destruction they have witnessed. Resilience and Hope: Despite trauma, many dream of a future peaceful life, showing immense strength and the desire for a "normal" childhood. Dreams of Children Who Have Never Seen Violence Unrestricted Imagination: Dreams are frequently filled with fantasy, play, and imaginative, non-threatening scenarios. Future Achievements: Goals often revolve around career aspirations, personal hobbies, and educational milestones. Safety Assumed: The concept of immediate danger or death is absent from their subconscious, allowing them to focus on immediate pleasure or emotional growth. Key Differences While children of war have dreams dominated by survival and fear, children safe from violence dream of self-actualization. However, children in war zones also display profound resilience, often channeling their trauma into hopeful, altruistic dreams of rebuilding their lives. @hianime_global

Master your mind before it masters you. In this seminar clip, Tony Robbins explains the psychological concepts of “Deletion” and “Generalization.” He illustrates how, when we are angry, our minds automatically filter out positive memories and focus exclusively on past grievances. Conversely, he explains that falling in love involves “deleting” a person’s flaws and “generalizing” their virtues. He concludes by emphasizing that we have the power to assign meaning to any event. He uses the example of a relationship crisis, asking the audience to decide if it is “the end” or “the beginning.” He argues that the meaning we choose determines our emotional state and our actions, urging the audience to take conscious control of their perception.

He, Mr. Thomas Shelby OBE is conveying the duality of life. ‘Sometimes’ the shelter is what protects a man from the rain, but conversely it is also the ‘storm’ that itself protects a man from the dangers that life presents. It’s effective for us as humans to understand that the amalgamation of good versus evil allows our spirit to seek the relief of the evil earthly desires when protected by the shelter. Do you understand?

Parents, how are you making your children feel seen and heard? Never make your children feel insignificant; the impact of such feelings can extend into their adult relationships. When children feel valued and heard, they develop a strong sense of self-worth and confidence. Conversely, feeling insignificant can lead to long-term emotional issues, affecting their ability to form healthy relationships in the future. It’s crucial to show your children that their thoughts, feelings, and experiences matter. Listen to them, validate their emotions, and offer support and encouragement. By doing so, you build a sense of security and belonging that helps them thrive emotionally and socially. ❤️ #PositiveParenting #ChildDevelopment #HealthyRelationships

During the Holocaust, there was an extraordinary need to be creative, a phenomenon in which women were active participants. In the final episode of our #WomensHistory series, we shed light on poet Selma Merbaum-Eisinger. Artistic creativity was a source of oxygen amidst suffocation. Whether used to express pain or, conversely, to escape reality through laughter and irony, it provided a vehicle for people to express the essence of their talents. Selma was a Romanian-born German-language poet. Her poems were preserved in a booklet she gave to her boyfriend, Leiser Fichman, and later published under the title “Blütenlese”. While this series has come to an end, the stories and legacies of women in the Holocaust accompany us all year long, serving as a constant reminder of the strength of the human spirit.

Coworkers with unhealed trauma may exhibit behaviors like micromanaging, conflict, or decreased productivity. Conversely, coworkers without trauma typically function with greater ease, though they may face vicarious trauma. A supportive, trauma-informed environment is essential, as unaddressed trauma leads to lower engagement, increased absences, and higher turnover, impacting the entire team. Behavioral Responses: Unhealed trauma can manifest in the workplace as fight-or-flight responses, including micromanaging, poor team spirit, and difficulty with emotional regulation. Reduced Performance: Individuals may experience decreased productivity, increased absenteeism, and difficulties with concentration or collaboration. Increased Risk of Turnover: Employees dealing with recent or unaddressed trauma are more likely to quit. Interpersonal Conflicts: They may experience higher conflict with coworkers and supervisors, often feeling isolated. Trigger Responses: Workplace events, even unrelated to the original trauma, can act as triggers, causing distress

So, in the honor of friendly competition, a challenge is being issued that requires the losing school's president and principal to wear the opposing team's jersey for a day after the series is over. We can't wait to see who comes out on top, good luck!

In this short video, an interviewer poses a paradoxical and somewhat bizarre hypothetical question to a guest, asking whether they would prefer to be born in their own body but with the genius mind of Stephen Hawking, or conversely, to be born in Stephen Hawking’s body while retaining their own mind. The guest is left visibly stunned and speechless by the sheer absurdity of the dilemma, creating a humorous yet awkward silence as he struggles to process the illogical nature of the choices presented. The clip captures a classic “brain-teaser” moment that highlights how some philosophical questions can be more confusing than profound, leaving the audience just as baffled as the guest himself.

This image explores the recurring tension between official storytelling and community interpretation, focusing on the popular **"Canon vs. Fanon"** trope. The graphic depicts a character who, in original source material, is defined by complexity and narrative importance despite their eventual demise; conversely, the "Fanon" side satirizes how audiences often reduce such figures to the singular, meme-ified trait of being dead. This phenomenon, often referred to as **character flanderization** within fandom spaces, highlights how digital communities frequently strip away nuanced backstories in favor of inside jokes or "shock humor" surrounding a character's tragedy. The engagement on the post—asking "What character is this?"—invites users to participate in a collective deconstruction of their favorite media, turning a critique of media literacy into a participatory game. This artifact is a prime example of how internet culture uses simplified visual templates to analyze the evolution of fictional legacies and the transformative power of fan discourse.
