THFor students applying in the 2025-26 application cycle to the School of Engineering at The Cooper Union, they will be required to submit SAT/ACT scores.
Applicants to the School of Architecture and School of Art can choose whether or not to submit SAT or ACT scores. Their decision will not affect their chances of admission, as all applications are reviewed holistically with or without test scores.

✔️ Meets 100% of demonstrated and determined financial need
✔️ Every admitted undergraduate student receives a half-tuition scholarship valued at $22,275 per year, as well as need- and merit-based aid if eligible
✔️A tuition-free senior year valued at $44,550
✔️The plan is to be 100% tuition-free by the 2028-2029 academic year
✔️For the sixth consecutive year, they have not raised undergraduate tuition

Per The Cooper Union,
“The use of AI is becoming more common, but it should strictly serve as a tool for creative brainstorming, idea refinement, or resume building—not as a direct representation of your work. Using AI-generated content without modification is considered plagiarism.”
