👉 Most common cause: Smoking
👉 Key symptom: Chronic cough + breathlessness
👉 Diagnosis: Post-bronchodilator FEV1/FVC < 0.70 (must remember for exams 📚)
💡 Pathology in short:
Inflammation → mucus → airway narrowing → air trapping → hypoxia
⚠️ Don’t ignore:
• Persistent cough
• Wheeze
• Pursed-lip breathing
• Frequent infections
🚑 Management is stepwise:
SABA → LABA/LAMA → ICS (if needed) → Oxygen therapy
