Screwed ๐ด๐ผ๐น๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ are a further traditional feature of fine Glashรผtte watchmaking art that we cultivate with particular care and dedication. These small gold rings or inlays are part of a perfectly coordinated trio: they serve as a setting for the bearing jewels made of ruby and are held in place by tiny blued screws. In the past, they were mainly used to equalise the different sizes of natural rubies and make it easier to replace a bearing jewel. In today's customised synthetic rubies, they no longer have to fulfil this function. Their golden lustre, however, which forms a wonderful triad with the deep red of the jewels and the shimmering cornflower blue of the screws, remains a recurring visual feature of our mechanical movements that we would not want to miss.
