Pero sa bilang ng National Movement for Free Elections, ang tambalan nina Aquino at senador Salvador “Doy” Laurel ang nanalo. Noong February 9, nag-walkout ang 35 computer technicians sa COMELEC quick count center sa PICC bilang protesta sa umano’y pagmamanipula ni Marcos sa resulta ng halalan. Ito ang isa sa mga itinuturing na mitsa ng 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution na naganap ilang linggo matapos ang Snap Election.
