METhe LUCAS device (Lund University Cardiac Assist System) is a mechanical chest compression device used to provide automated, high-quality CPR during cardiac arrest.
🔬 Principle of Working
Uses a piston-driven suction cup placed over the sternum.
Delivers consistent compressions (≈100–120/min).
Provides active chest recoil using suction (improves venous return).
