AMMost people look at their lab results and panic.
I look at mine, take a deep breath, and say, “Okay… plot twist.”
That’s the difference.
My circulating tumor DNA numbers came in, and instead of spiraling, I treated them like what they are….just a number on a piece of paper.
Kind of like the Jim Rohn saying, “well now, isn’t that interesting.”
This is what healing looks like in real life. This go great, then not so much, then you do the work, over and over again.
I stopped letting numbers boss me around and I certainly don’t hand over my power to all humans in white coats 😂

The DYNAMIC-III trial looked at patients with stage III colon cancer who had surgery and then tested positive for ctDNA, a blood marker that can signal leftover cancer.
The big question: Should those patients get more chemotherapy to reduce their risk of recurrence?
The surprising answer: no. Even when chemo was intensified, patients didn’t do better. In fact, recurrence-free survival was slightly worse compared to standard treatment.
So what does this mean?
ctDNA is still a powerful tool to tell us who’s at risk, but we don’t yet know what to do for those patients. More chemo alone may not be the answer.
The future lies in smarter, more personalized strategies. Not just more, but better.
