Many employees think: 👉 CTC = Total money received in a year
But that’s not true.
🔹 CTC means Cost to Company — the total amount your employer spends on you.
🔹 In-hand salary means the amount you actually receive in your bank account after taxes and deductions.
Here’s a simple example 👇
💰 ₹10 LPA CTC → Approx ₹83,333/month before major deductions
💰 ₹20 LPA CTC → Approx ₹1.5 lakh/month in hand
💰 ₹50 LPA CTC → Approx ₹3.25 lakh/month in hand
⚠️ As your salary increases, tax liability also increases under the New Tax Regime.
🔹 ₹15 LPA → Annual tax approx ₹97,500
🔹 ₹30 LPA → Annual tax approx ₹4.76 lakh

📊 Simple Formula to Estimate In-Hand Salary
Monthly In-Hand ≈ (CTC × 0.75) ÷ 12
This gives a rough estimate of what your monthly take-home salary could look like.

👉 Actual in-hand salary can vary depending on the company’s salary structure, tax regime, PF contribution, and variable pay.
