I don’t think there is a track on 𝘚𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯 𝘙𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯 that poured out of me as easily as 𝘙𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘔𝘦. I wrote this back in 2021 during a time when I had lost myself completely. Professionally it was such an exciting time. CTRL ALT DEL was just starting to roll and my career was getting so exciting, but my mental health was a bit of a mess.
The morning I came to @max.ant’s house for our session I don’t think he knew he would also be my therapist that day. He came across a vocal loop that really inspired me to spill my guts and express everything I’d been keeping bottled up. Thank you @max.ant for holding the space for me to get this one off my chest and for helping tell this story with me so beautifully through your production. I found freedom between the speakers, just as the song says, and I still do.
My a&r @guillaumemoffet had an idea of flipping the back half of the song into a sonic journey to let the music pick up where the electro ballad left off. @caspermakesbops absolutely crushed the outro and incapsulated that journey so perfectly. I can’t wait for you guys to hear all 5 minutes of this track on the album, out October 20th 🪐
