KNNow present on Comcast 12, we were on 20 for more than two decades. Many folks in the community simply referred to us as "Channel 20".
If you weren't alive before social media, it would possibly be hard to wrap your head around the impact stations like ours had on communities across the country.
Essentially, public access tv was the first social media. Folks didn't have access to a media platform like this before we existed - a platform where you could do or say whatever you wanted on tv. It was, at times, quite frightening to allow this vehicle for free-thought, free-expression, and free-speech to exist. We still exist today and offer those same freedoms to everyone in the community. And, unlike social media platforms, we still do not censor your voice - regardless of your beliefs, dreams, and values.
