- It resurfaces only during during summer when the water level decreases

but still it has a lot of culture and history preserved
Let me tell you this story⏩️
In 1980s, about 20 villages drowned in water as Salaulim Dam was built to solve the water problems of South Goa because of the sacrifice of these villages. Large part of South Goa today enjoys abundant water supply & Curdi , one of these underwater villages. partially comes out of water around April and May to flaunt its lost glory.
The whole area till where you see the trees,gets submerged into water for ten months.Maybe its the positive energy of the still surviving Tulsi Vrindavan. Tulsi plans outside every Hindu home.found a recently built chapel at the height.
There are remains of old canals made by the villagers.Ride further to see Someshwar Temple and the Shiv Linga. This is where river Kushavati used to flow and also remains of many old houses,old houses staircases, walls, old wells, Though this village has survived for 40 years, submerged under water but the situation is declining steadily, and in a few years
there might be nothing remaining to see , definitely visit this lost underwater, beautiful village🌳
