TII really suggest getting a pair of mini clippers if you struggle shaving down in corners of suit heads! I shave down to the backing around the eyes to glue down the liner and these make it much easier!^^

SLFoxy is finally getting the glamrock drip ⭐⚡
⚪ Back at it again with another update on Foxy. For a while now, I have been wanting to add my own twist on a Glamrock Foxy, so I spent a lot of time conceptualizing ideas and designs, especially what I wanted to do for the hair. Yes, I hadn't forgotten about the hair; he was just temporarily bald lol.
⚪ Although there are already established designs of Glamrock Foxy in the community, the plan for this build was to take inspiration from them but add some of my own flair to it.
⚪ This Foxy is based on AcidLove137's model, which I modified and built upon. A link to their profile is in my bio.
⚪ Also, shout-out to @shewolf.artgr , as seeing her Glamrock Foxy build was a huge inspiration for doing my own. Plus, as someone who had never worked on these types of projects before, seeing her WIP videos was super helpful! She is still cooking up stuff for her Foxy (as well as other projects), so go check her out!
⚪ I'm really happy with how Foxy turned out; this whole project has been such a joy to work on, and I've learned so much through the process. Especially Arduino and how to work with Blender in combination with other CAD software.
🔧 There are still things that I will work on and add with time, like making the eyebrows controllable or adding a white light to the ruined eye.
‼️And I'm REALLY considering doing the whole body as a cosplay, so let me know if y'all would like to see that. It would be a huge project, but I would love to do it and document the process.

SLGlamrock Foxy Progress ⚡ Reveal at the End!
This time, with a little montage of the filling and sanding process. As you can see at the beginning, there were a few rough surfaces on the raw print, mostly due to supports. Well, those, as well as all the layer lines, need to be gone before I start adding color to it.
There are many ways to go about filling and sanding 3D prints, but this is the process I go through most of the time.
⚪ For more context, I usually start by cleaning the prints as much as possible to ensure there are no support bits, stringing, blobs, etc.
⚪ Then, I slowly brush 3D printing resin on them to fill all the rough surfaces and layer lines. I then cure the resin with a UV lamp and wash it thoroughly with alcohol so that it is safe to touch.
⚠️ Resin is no bueno for you, and this process involves it in both liquid and dust form, so if you attempt to do this, please use proper PPE and make sure to do thorough research! As you can see, I did this outside, with nitrile gloves and a mask.
⚪ For the first sanding pass, I usually start with 80 or 120 grit depending on the quality of the print. During this step, you want to get rid of most imperfections and layer lines. Again, resin gets everywhere, so a proper mask is a must.
⚪ Once the surfaces look smooth, I hit them with filler primer to further fill the remaining imperfections. Spot putty, wood filler, etc., may also be used to fill larger spots.
⚪ I then do a couple more sanding passes, starting with 240 and going up to 500 grit. Depending on the surface quality, you might need to do another filler primer coat.
⚪ Whenever I'm happy with the surface finish, I prepare it for a paint job by doing one or two primer coats.
✅ And that's pretty much it! It involves a lot of time and patience, but the results are definitely worth it, especially for achieving a smooth finish like that of the Glamrock animatronics.
Next up comes doing the actual paint job! I already got the paints, and I'm super excited to share some more updates soon. This one is going to be the most exciting! 👀
