ARThe Bible isn’t boring — it’s just quiet.
We live in a world where everything is fighting for our attention. Notifications. Reels. Endless scrolling. Algorithms designed to keep us stimulated 24/7. Your phone competes loudly. The Bible doesn’t compete at all. It waits.
And because it waits, we assume it’s irrelevant.
But maybe it’s not boring — maybe our brains are just trained for constant stimulation.
In Bible, Jesus says, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). That means Scripture isn’t background noise. It’s daily bread. It’s life.
If you only open your Bible when you have “extra time,” it will always feel distant. Because there is no such thing as extra time in a distracted world. There is only chosen time.
God’s Word doesn’t shout over your feed. It speaks in stillness.
It doesn’t entertain your flesh. It transforms your heart.
It doesn’t flood you with dopamine. It forms you into Christ.
When you slow down…
When you ask God to speak…
When you stop scrolling and start seeking…
You’ll find that Scripture isn’t dry — it’s alive.
Maybe the reason it feels “boring” is because it’s training your soul instead of stimulating your senses.
The thing fighting hardest for your attention might not be giving you life.
But the thing waiting quietly for you just might be.
Make time for the Word.
Don’t wait for extra time.
Your soul needs daily bread.
