INFor the first time in a long time, we finally had Hong Kong-style lunch again! Sammi (@sammicanada ) in Danforth is one of the solid must-try spots in the city. 🇭🇰✨
They’ve got some classic HK café dishes on the menu. We tried the Char Siu (HK-style BBQ pork) with rice, the Curry Fish Cutlet with rice, and of course, their Hong Kong-style French Toast. We couldn’t pass up the chance to have toast with Kaya spread! 😋
We paired it with their HK milk tea and lemon tea. It was the perfect lunch for a gloomy Sunday.
If you’re planning a visit, try to come early on the weekend—it gets busy fast!

Late to the hype but I was excited to try this place. It’s my kind of vibe for a night out - it looks bougie but feels casual and cozy. Menu is elevated diner classics, the cheeseburger was done well and I came back another night for the fried chicken sandwich! You’ll also see the chefs literally firing up the spaghetti all’assassina which seems to be on every other table🔥
Look out for tables on weekday evenings, or be prepared to be very organised to get a weekend table 21 days ahead .

As we’ve said before Drunch is becoming our go-to spot for food in central, from brunch to late lunch/early dinner. We had tried their dinner menu previously and preferred their brunch, but their fully halal menu tempted us to try again.
All of the starters/sharing plates were really good and very large portion which explains the price! We couldn’t even finish the humous, burrata or prawn/calamari.
We have tried a lot of burgers, from smash- to fried chicken- ones. We must say for ‘brunch’ spots, Drunch’s burger is juicy and flavoursome which shocked us again! The chicken is grilled which we prefer, but if you’re looking for something heavier get the beef burger!
We don’t usually order pasta when we are out but this was good and did have a lil bit of spice too.
The desserts are a must and are the perfect level of indulgence. The tiramisu was a little dense but the Dulce de leche cheesecake came different, a must order.
Drunch is on the more expensive side, as we have said in our other reviews. But, you can definitely find something on the menu that you will love and the lovely exterior in central London adds to the dining experience.

FOOne of my favourite restaurants downtown. The interior gets me every time. The food really is good here and I will always come back for their mushroom truffle pizza.
Service is always a 10 and vibes are perfection ✨
Love their lunch special right now $35 for an app, main and a dessert. We chose the calamari, sea bass and tiramisu :)

LI@soulasmoderngreekcuisine is by far the BEST Greek food we've had in a long time!
Sad to say, we hadn't been on a date in over 2 years 😭 so we went back to The Danforth where we had our first date 11 years ago ❤ we definitely chose the perfect spot to enjoy each other's company!
If you like Greek cuisine, you HAVE TO try this place! No lie, you're not gonna regret it!

TOWe recently visited the beautiful DAPHNE restaurant in Toronto’s Financial District located at 67 Richmond St. West.
DAPHNE is a spectacular restaurant designed with arches and domed ceilings in the main room and a separate stylish bar.
The restaurant is brought to us by Charles Khabouth and Danny Soberano, the duo of Ink Entertainment, who are also behind other incredible Toronto spots like Ultra, Pink Sky, and Chica.
The restaurant now offers brunch from 11am to 3pm on weekends as well as normal service through the week and weekends.
We tried:
-ricotta toast
-fruit parfait
-steak and eggs
-pancakes and
-mimosas
Service was 5 star from the gracious hostess to our experienced server Armani.
If you’re looking for a special restaurant with excellent food, excellent service, beautiful decor and lively ambiance, then visit DAPHNE.
Lastly, when the weather turns warmer make sure to visit their New York style patio.
