A Marine veteran and three U.S. Capitol Police officers were treated for injuries in a Senate office building on Wednesday after the veteran resisted arrest for disruptive behavior and grabbed onto a doorway as the officers and a Republican senator tried to drag him out of the room. The protester, Marine veteran Brian C. McGinnis of North Carolina, was arrested and faces three counts of assaulting a police officer and three counts of resisting arrest and unlawful demonstration, the Capitol Police said in a statement. Multiple videos show that McGinnis stood up and started shouting during the Senate Armed Services hearing and that police officers immediately grabbed him and tried to remove him from the room. McGinnis was protesting the U.S. military campaign in Iran, shouting, “America does not want to send its sons and daughters to war for Israel!” 🎥: CODEPINK via AP

The protest of U.S. Marines speaks to a growing sentiment: that American blood and treasure are being spent on conflicts that don't put "America First." The country is being pushed into wars with countries that pose no threat. Whether you agree or not, their cries resonate with millions who are exhausted by endless foreign entanglements. Here is a brief overview of these protests: 1) U.S. Marine veteran Brian McGinnis was physically removed from a Senate hearing—his arm allegedly broken by a senator—after screaming, "No one wants to fight for Israel!" Some see a traitor being silenced; others see a hero being crushed by the very system he swore to protect. 2) Ramon Castro, a Marine veteran, is taking part in the "Walk the Line" trek along the U.S.-Mexico border to protest the deportation of veterans who served under the American flag, only to be cast out by the very nation they swore to defend. This isn't a march in Washington; it's a grueling 2,000-mile journey through deserts and border towns. Each step is a statement: that military service and sacrifice should transcend immigration status. 3) U.S. Army veteran Mike Prysner came face-to-face with former President George W. Bush to deliver a message that thousands of service members never got the chance to say. His anger is directed at the very foundation of the war: the faulty intelligence and public claims used to justify the 2003 invasion. For many veterans, the discovery that they were sent to war based on what Prysner calls "false pretenses" is a profound betrayal that fuels a lifetime of moral injury.

The real battleground is apparently inside the US Capitol. 🚨 If you wanted to know exactly how Washington feels about anti-war protests right now, the Senate Armed Services Committee just provided a very physical demonstration. While the Middle East continues to spiral into an all-out regional war, things are getting equally chaotic back in Washington D.C. During a recent Senate hearing, Brian C. McGinnis, a 44-year-old former US Marine, decided to stand up and loudly declare that America does not want to send its citizens to war for Israel. The government's response? Immediate, physical ejection. Here is exactly how the absolute mess unfolded inside the Capitol: ▪️ The Interruption: McGinnis, dressed in his US Marine Corps uniform, interrupted the hearing to protest the ongoing push toward a massive war in Iran. ▪️ The Scuffle: Capitol Police officers immediately moved to drag him out. The situation escalated so rapidly that Senator Tim Sheehy—a former Navy SEAL himself—actually had to step in to help officers pry the protesting veteran out of the room. ▪️ The Injuries: During the chaotic struggle to remove him, footage captured McGinnis clinging to a doorway before a loud "snap" was heard on video. Both the ex-Marine and three police officers ended up requiring medical treatment for injuries. ▪️ The Charges: Instead of having his concerns heard, McGinnis was arrested and slapped with three counts of assaulting a police officer, three counts of resisting arrest, and a charge for an unlawful demonstration. It turns out that walking into the Senate to declare you don't want a massive global conflict is a fantastic way to end up in handcuffs. 👇 Do you think anti-war veterans are being aggressively silenced, or did the Capitol Police handle this correctly? NO ONE WANTS TO FIGHT FOR ISRAEL! A tense moment unfolded during a Senate Armed Services subcommittee hearing when an anti-war protester interrupted proceedings and was forcibly removed by Capitol Police. The protester, identified as Brian McGinnis, a Marine veteran and Green Party candidate for the U.S. Senate in North Carolina, shouted anti-war slogans during the hearing, including criticism of the United States and Israel's war with Iran. Videos circulating online show McGinnis resisting removal and wedging his arm into a door frame as officers attempted to escort him out. McGinnis and some witnesses later claimed his arm or hand was broken during the struggle, with people in the room shouting that a senator had caused the injury. However, Capitol Police have not confirmed how the injury occurred. Authorities said McGinnis "violently" resisted removal and reported that three officers were injured during the confrontation. He now faces multiple charges, including assaulting an officer and resisting arrest. During the altercation, Senator Tim Sheehy was also criticized for joining the Capitol Police in lifting and escorting the protester out of the hearing room.. #usa #nowar #trump #india #indiareset
